Built in 1991, Tianjin Radio and Television Tower (hereafter referred to as Tianjin Tower for short), is the only "water tower" in the world, and a member of the World Federation of Great Towers. One of the top ten scenic spots in Tianin, it enjoys the reputation of "sky tower revolving cloud". Standing 415.2 meters high, it is currently the sixth tallest tower in the world and the fourth tallest in Asia. Tianjin Tower has two main functions: radio and television signal transmission, and sightseeing.
Tianjin Tower is located in the downtown area, close to Water Park - the largest urban park in the city. It is the only 4A scenic spot in Hexi District of Tianjin, with an annual reception of about 200,000 visitors. At a height of 257 meters of this landmark building in Tianjin stands the highest library in China, which is equipped with a revolving platform to take tourists for a 50-min rotation to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
